Abu Dhabi is part of the United Arab Emirates and is the perfect destination for a stopover or a week-long vacation from Europe. There is so much to see and do, But you still have time to kick back and relax. While looking for cheap air tickets, I came across a ticket from Berlin to Abu Dhabi with transit in Amman on Jordanian Airlines. I didn't hesitate to book a €125 return ticket for my family's fall vacation.
I tend to plan too much while travelling, which cannot be done in Abu Dhabi as I have been before. This time there was enough time to rest. One of the things you must do in Abu Dhabi is a desert safari. And I have also done it with Emirates Tours & Safari, the company I used during my previous trip. Today I had fun with my family. And I am sure you will agree that this is a must-do desert safari trip in Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi Desert Safari: Camel Farm
Abu Dhabi desert safaris usually start after lunchtime. The Emirates Tour driver was on time. And first, we headed to the camel farm. The car releases pressure from the tire at the camel farm to prepare it to hit the dunes. Dune bashing is driving (read: crosswalk) off-road through the desert. Shortly after all the cars arrive, the dune bashing will begin. At the camel farm, have time to take pictures with the camels. Use a wide-angle lens to make the camel's face large in the front for a fun look. Depending on the time of year, there are also baby camels, as shown in the image below. I set it up as the second car in convoy for better photography - the car in front to take pictures and the car in back to take pictures.
Abu Dhabi desert safari: dune bashing
Dune busting means crossing offroad tracks through the dunes in the desert. In Abu Dhabi, you will find the best dunes in the United Arab Emirates. So it is the best place to do a desert safari. During a desert trip in Abu Dhabi, You will have to cross the desert for about an hour, stopping halfway to take photos; it is fast, very fast, going up and down the dunes. Jump to the side, and the sand will cover the car if it hits the soft sand. Take a look at the gallery below for action shots.
Dune bashing during desert safaris in Abu Dhabi occurred just before sunset. It makes the dunes a beautiful warm red colour. This is the perfect time to take a photo. Just make sure you set your camera to full shutter speed while there is enough light. In my case, I created the entire image at 1/1250 second, which darkened it a bit. But I can fix it later. It is impossible to use a longer shutter speed due to the bumpy ride! Please read about my photo editing process how I did it. The drivers are very experienced and know what they are doing. Don't worry because you will be safe in the fortified car. I am very happy with my family. And I hope to drive myself the next time I go to Abu Dhabi. after all the activities; It's time for the camp activities.
